Moving Tips For Future Floridians

Ah, the Sunshine State. There’s nothing like it for beaches, amusement parks and the great outdoors. But, what do people face in making a move to this state that’s known for it’s kicked back, relaxed lifestyle and hot and humid summers?

Until I checked out Moving-Florida.com, I honestly thought people who relocated to the Sunshine State pretty much needed to scrap their Northern furniture and start over. Antique woods, delicate linens and so on won’t stand up to the humidity, I thought. That doesn’t seem to be the case.

Moving-Florida has a great article on moving tips for newcomers to Florida that says it’s not necessary to get rid of everything for a move there. In fact, thanks to air conditioning, which is standard in just about every home or apartment on the market, the humidity is not a very big concern for belongings.

The article also offers some very good Florida-specific advice. It’s more than worth a quick read for anyone getting ready to call Florida home.
